It All Began When I Said "Yes."
Julia is a talk show host for The City Guide Weekend Edition on CBS that airs every Saturday at 8am/Central.
When she stepped on stage, for the first time she felt heard during a version of "The Little Prince." One of her favorite quotes was: "You become responsible for those you captivate." She’s Brazilian, Millennial, loves soccer and started out as on camera talent at Telemundo, furthering her career as a Latina woman in entertainment.
The feeling of connecting with others and having an impact in people's lives is the best feeling in the world. That's what keeps me going. Since then I have been able to embrace my true self, and have a life I am passionate about. As a speaker, I held my own 1-hour live show aboard cruise ships and traveled the world to over 33 countries. My super power is being who I am and showing up as my authentic self. Holding my own and being my true self, I've always been like that even before it was fashionable. Being genuine is a quality that has opened more doors than I could imagine. Everyone is looking for someone who's kind, compassionate and generous, whether they know it or not. So if you want some career advice: SHOW UP AND BE A GOOD PERSON.
My superpower is helping women become the best version of themselves while pursuing the kind of life they actually want.... one with abundance, freedom, joy, and peace.
I interviewed hundreds of A-list celebrities, including Robert De Niro, Ryan Gosling, Bradley Cooper, George Clooney, Keira Knightley and Helen Mirren in the winner's room when she won her Tony Awards. I became well-known as the red carpet host for Hollywood TV. Via Reuters’ digital distribution platform, Hollywood TV transmitted stories every day to our subscribers worldwide with over 400 million views. Our footage was featured on Entertainment Tonight/The Insider, NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN, AP, Splash News, RTL (Germany) and many others. At Netflix, I worked as producer on "Ultimate Beastmaster" executive produced by Sylvester Stallone. My Smirnoff voice over campaign has over 2 million hits on YouTube.
LOA, essential oils, honest emails. kindness, love, magic, myself, gut-feelings, chai lattes and cutting out the 'meh' to make room for my very best.
Going around in circles unless it's to come full circle, small talk, dairy, gluten, uneventful evenings, acronyms, fluff pieces.
In the studio, guesting on podcasts, working in my pjs, out in nature, Netflix binging, writing, cooking, on delightful zoom calls, playing chess, Zumba dancing.
Morning meditation, affirmations, journaling, smoothies, avo toast, barre class, and good skincare (Stone face massager, what!)
